Statement of Our Faith

What we Believe

  1. The Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, unadulterated and authoritative word of God. – 2Peter 1:20, 21. 2 Timothy 3:16 It is the most authentic rule of faith and code of conduct – Psalm 119:9-11, 105.
  2. There is one true God who has revealed Himself as the eternal one – Deut. 6:4 He exists as one in three persons – The Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Hebrews 1:1-3 Matt. 28:19; 3:16,17, Luke 3:22.
  3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is declared by:
    1. Virgin birth: – Matt 1:23, Luke 1:35.
    2. Sinless life: – 1 Peter 2:22, Hebrews 4:15.
    3. His miracles: -Acts 2:22; 10:38.
    4. His substitution work on the cross: – Romans 5:5- 10, 2 Cor. 5:21.
    5. His bodily resurrection from the dead – Mark 16:6; Acts 3:13 – 15; Romans 1:3, 4 Luke 24:39.
    6. His exaltation to the right hand of God – Acts 1:9, 11, Heb. 1:3 Luke 24:50, 51.
    7. His personal future return to earth in power and glory- Matt 24:30, Acts 1:11.
  4. Man was created perfect but by voluntary transgression was separated from God – Roman 5:12 And now man’s only hope of salvation is throught repentance and faith in the shed blood of Jesus Christ – Rom. 23-25, Eph. 2:8, 9 1 Peter 1:18, 19.
  5. The Holy spirit is a Divine person sent to:
    • Indwell the believer – John 14:16, 17.
    • Guide the believer – John 16:13.
    • Teach the believer John 14:26.
    • Empower the believer Eph. 3:16 and also convict the world of sin of righteousness and of judgement – John 16:7, 8. He is also essential in the regenration of our souls 3:3 – 6. Titus 3:5.
  6. The redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the body in answer to believing prayer – Isaiah 53:5, 1 Peter 2:24.
  7. The baptism of the Holy Spirit in accordance to Art 2:4; 10:45, 46: 19:6 and is given to all believers who ask for it – Luke 11:13, Acts 2:38, 39.
  8. The personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ and the rapture of the church is at hand – 1 Thess. 4:16, 17.
  9. There will be a resurrection of both the daved and the lost one to eternal or evalasting life and the other to everlasting damnation – Rev. 20:4 – 6; 21:27; 20:11 – 15, Luke 14:14.
  10. There are two main New Testament ordinances to be observed; namely; a. Water baptism by immersion – Romans 6:4 – 6, Col. 2:12 b. The Lord’s Supper – Matt. 26:26 -30. 1 Cor. 10:23-31.
